“A lot of people refer to our national parks as America’s best idea. I happen to think the McHenry County conservation district is one of the very best ideas we’ve had in in McHenry County. Over the years I’ve been proud of the progress we’ve made in preserving the most valuable open spaces. I hope the district will continue to preserver the open spaces but they must also ensure that the land they already have is available to the McHenry County people to enjoy. This referendum will allow that to happen. Remember, open space will not require additional schools, jail space, or wider highways. I urge a yes vote on this referendum.”

VOTE YES TO CONSERVE MCHENRY COUNTY
McHenry County residents can vote “YES” on a proposition that will protect drinking water and the water quality of our rivers, lakes and streams, restore wildlife habitat, and improve park access for all people, especially those with disabilities.
The average homeowner in McHenry County would only pay an additional $2.25 per month to fund this proposition. It is a small price to pay to protect our clean water and to preserve, maintain and improve natural lands and conservation areas in McHenry County.
